April 2026 Update

This month's update introduces support for Street Manager v6, changing AQS parameters on demand and an improved audit event view. The update took place during the evening of 9th April. For the full list of changes, see v3.3 and v3.4 in the Changelog.

Behind the scenes, we're also working on some exciting new integrations with other applications on the CausewayOne platform, which we hope to share with you soon!

Street Manager v6 🚧

Our optional Street Works module provides integration with the government's Street Manager service, enabling you to apply for works permits and log when works start/stop.

Street Manager v6 is now fully supported across CausewayOne Asset Management and Alloy Mobile. The most notable update is new collaboration fields in the Impact stage of the permit form.

Details

The old Collaborative Working checkbox is replaced with a Collaboration Preference picker:

  • Collaborate as primary promoter - you're leading the works, others are joining yours.
  • Collaborate as secondary promotor - you're joining another promoter's works.
  • Open to collaborative work requests - no initial collaboration but open to offers.
  • Not open to collaboration - collaboration isn't possible for these works.

Choosing 1-3 reveals fields for Collaboration Type, Collaboration Details (now multiline) and Collaboration Contact (name, email and/or phone).

Secondary promoters also see fields for the Primary Permit Reference Number (to link both permits) and Estimated Network Days Saved (compared to working independently).

If you're not open to collaboration, you just need to provide the reason!

Change AQS parameters 🎛️

An AQS query can have parameters, which are placeholders for values supplied at runtime. This enables the query to return different results based on user input, e.g. fetch tasks with the Priority value I choose.

If you open a board or list that uses parameters in its underlying query, you are prompted to enter values for them before continuing. The same is true for saved queries in the Data Explorer app.

You can now change these values at any time, by selecting the AQS parameters button in the app bar (Boards, Lists) or bottom toolbar (Data Explorer).

Item audit details 🕵️

When viewing an item's details in any app, the Audit section lists its history of changes. Select an event in the list to see exactly what changed.

When viewing an event, the User, Date and Action are now shown in a header, so you can see this information without switching back to the event list.
