February 2026 Update

This month's update brings clearer visuals and keyboard navigation, easier access to maps, flexible basemaps and expanded bulk editing. The update took place during the evening of 5 February. For a full list of changes, see v3.2 in the Changelog.

Accessibility enhancements 👀⌨️

We're continuing our journey to make CausewayOne Asset Management accessible to a broader audience.

Based on your feedback, we've improved visibility across the user interface, with clearer outlines for fields, labels and notifications. The Data Explorer app and its classic equivalent now display consistent striping across all columns, making it easier to comprehend the data.

Keyboard controls

You can now navigate CausewayOne Asset Management with your keyboard! In both the apps and classic workspace, you can scan through all interactive elements, with the current focus highlighted in purple.

  • Press Tab to scan through elements. Press Shift + Tab to scan backwards.
  • Press Space or Enter to select the focused element.
  • Press Esc to close menus and dialog windows.

This should be possible across all areas. If you encounter any issues, please contact Support.

Open search results in Maps 🔍

When searching for items in any Asset Management App, you can now open a search result directly in the Maps app.

Select the Maps button beside a result and the item will appear centred on the map, with its details displayed in a side panel. This provides a quick way to locate your assets and activities and understand their geographical context.

Switch basemaps in the Geometry Editor 🗺️

By default, the Geometry Editor uses the same basemap that you've chosen in the Maps app or the classic workspace. However, this isn't always ideal when plotting an item's geometry.

Therefore, we've added a new basemaps panel to the Geometry Editor. Select the ☰ Menu button, choose Show basemap panel and then turn on the basemap you want to use.

This makes it easy to switch between basemaps on the fly, providing greater context and enabling you to plot geometry with accuracy and confidence.

Expanded bulk edits 🖋️

You can use the Data Explorer app to perform bulk actions on query result. This includes the ability to edit or clear attribute values on multiple selected items.

We've expanded bulk editing to let you do more. You can now change or clear item properties too, including icon, colour, and collection. You can also apply the same geometry to multiple items or clear it on all of them.

This makes it easy to update large numbers of items at once, including bulk archiving!

Email alerts for Gateway imports 📧

In the classic workspace, the Gateway feature lets you import data into CausewayOne Asset Management. Large data imports can take time to process, depending on the complexity of your data.

Therefore, we've added a Send email notifications option to the Create Import process. If enabled, you'll receive automatic email updates when the import status changes to Initialised, Validated, Processed or Failed.

You can now focus on other tasks while your data processes, without having to keep checking.

Apply for works permits 🚧

We recently introduced the Permits section for job items that implement the Street Manager Works Reference Assignable interface. When viewing these items in the Asset Management Apps, this section lets you check the job's permit status and log start/stop events.

It's now possible to select Apply and submit a new permit application directly through CausewayOne, without having to visit the Street Manager website.

The process is split into numbered stages. Each stage contains standard data fields for you to fill in.  Where possible, fields are pre-populated with values for convenience.

Note: we will be updating CausewayOne Asset Management to support Street Manager v6 ahead of the switchover date (20 April 2026).
